Queue the John Williams Jaws score, because Shark Week is almost here. As part of Discovery Channel’s annual summer tradition, Shark Week will run eight consecutive days, and feature some of the most dangerous predators in the sea. The 32nd annual Shark Week runs from August 9 to August 16, and will showcase 24 new specials about the deadly and often misunderstood creatures.
Here are some highlights of this year’s Shark Week:
Tyson vs. Jaws: Rumble on the Reef
The official description states, “Legendary boxer and entrepreneur is taking on a new challenge… and he picked the most unlikely training partner. Iron Mike will go head-to-head with some of the ocean's top apex predators including the blacktip reef shark. With famed ring announcer Michael Buffer calling the shots, these two heavyweights will square off underwater, where Mike Tyson will try to score a TKO over the massive shark… all in the name of research. And don’t worry, no sharks were harmed (or bitten) in the making of this episode.”

Were sharks impacted when humans went on lockdown? In the waters off New Zealand, researchers see how the hunting patterns of great white sharks in the area have changed due to humans’ recent absence in their waters.

Shaquille O’Neal is back for more! After encountering sharks in Shaq Does Shark Week, Shaq has now set out to discover which shark has the “perfect predatory attack.”

Will Smith: Off the Deep End
Will Smith is taking on Shark Week by diving right into shark-infested waters. In order to learn more about these oceanic predators, Will Smith will need to overcome his fear of the open seas...and sharks themselves.

Jaws in America (tentative title)
From rapper, to baker, to Shark Week announcer. Seriously, what can’t Snoop Dogg do? Check out the description to Snoop’s special: “Snoop Dogg takes a look at why Great White Sharks are taking up residence along America's shores. Will this be the ‘sharkiest’ summer in U.S. history?
