HBO's dark satirical family drama Succession wrapped its last season with a major cliffhanger impacting the Roy family. While production on the third season of the popular series was set to begin in early 2020, filming was delayed due to the pandemic.
Season 3 is finally in production in New York City, and is welcoming two major starts to its ranks. Oscar-winner Adrien Brody (The Pianist, Grand Budapest Hotel) is set to star as a billionaire activist who is out to gain ownership of the series' fictional media conglomerate, Waystar Co.
Also new to the cast this season is Alexander Skarsgard (Godzilla vs. Kong, Big Little Lies), who is set to portray a tech founder and CEO that will likely find himself in a heated confrontation with one or many of the Roy family.
The story for this season is tightly under wraps. Reprising their leading roles in the dysfunctional and cunning Roy family are Brian Cox, Jeremy Strong, Kieran Culkin, Sarah Snook, Hiam Abbass, Nicholas Braun, Matthew Macfadyen, and Alan Ruck.
