Armie Hammer has found himself in the spotlight after a string of unverified, leaked Instagram DMs between himself and the Instagram account House of Effie. After the messages were leaked, Hammer started to leave productions he was currently attached to.
House of Effie claims to have had an affair with Hammer for four years, but the messages are more explicit. The messages in question describe graphic sexual fantasies and even allude to cannibalism. Since the initial leaks between Hammer and House of Effie, more women have come forward, alleging Hammer’s eagerness to have multiple affairs.
Now, Hammer has reportedly left the upcoming Paramount+ series, The Offer, which follows the historic making of Academy Award-winning film, The Godfather. Hammer was cast in the lead role of Al Ruddy, the producer of The Godfather.
This news also comes after Hammer recently dropped out of the upcoming RomCom Shotgun Wedding, with Jennifer Lopez.
Hammer has issued statements against the leaked messages saying that he wouldn’t respond to the “bullsh*t claims.” He also explained why he might be leaving upcoming productions by saying, “In light of the vicious and spurious online attacks against me, I cannot in good conscience now leave my children for 4 months.”
