Best International Ninja Day Movies!

Happy International Ninja Day to you all! We absolutely love these strange holidays because they give us reasons to celebrate very specific things. National doughnut day? They have it. National smile day? It’s somewhere! Yet, today we celebrate Ninjas. Even though International Ninja Day was first created by Ninja Burger in 2003 to celebrate their quick burger delivery, we will take today to celebrate the many fantastic Ninja stories.

This 2003 film is an adaptation of the popular Manga series. Featuring expertly choreographed fight scenes, Azumi takes viewers back to ancient Japan where our heroine trains with other recruits. Only once she has mastered her lessons can Azumi use her skills to assassinate warlords in order to restore peace. If you like intense fighting, then this Not Rated film might be the one for you.

Beverly Hills Ninja

Unlike the intense Azumi, Beverly Hills Ninja stars Chris Farley and feels more like a B-movie than an actual film. It is a martial arts comedy which showcases Farley bumbling around and generally failing to be a traditional Ninja. Beverly Hills Ninja might be the next movie to bring to your friend’s B-movie night.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Everyone loves the Ninja Turtles. Master Splinter teaches our four turtles everything that they know about martial arts to protect the city from crime. If you are looking for a dose of nostalgia on International Ninja Day, order a pizza and watch the 1987 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series.

The Octagon

If you’re a die hard Chuck Norris fan, then you have probably already seen The Octagon several times. Even if you are a casual Chuck Norris viewer, watching him take on a small army of Ninjas with his bare hands is a sight to see.

Naruto began as a Japanese Manga series and rapidly expanded into an entire franchise that includes anime TV shows, like Naruto, and films like The Last: Naruto the Movie. Watch incredible animated fight scenes as our young ninja trains in hopes of eventually becoming the leader of his village.

What is your favorite film or TV show about Ninjas? Have you watched any of the movies or TV series that we listed?
