Happy Earth Day, Stardusters! Today marks the day where people all over the globe celebrate this incredible planet we call home. And National Geographic is celebrating this Earth Day in a very special way--by dropping the stunning new series Secrets Of The Whales on Disney+.

Did you know the first whales evolved over 50 million years ago? To put that in context, research suggests that the first humans developed between five to seven million years ago, so whales have been around for a LONG time. Secrets of the Whales takes a deep dive into humpbacks, orcas, narwhals, belugas, and sperm whales, exploring each species’ unique cultures, songs, social structure, and communication skills

Narrated by movie legend Sigourney Weaver, Secrets of the Whales features beautiful imagery of some of the most majestic creatures on Earth. Award-winning videographer Brian Skerry concepted this series, hoping to learn more about whales in their natural habitat. After filming, he said, ”I think it's the tip of the iceberg, you know, we've just begun to scratch the surface about what these animals do.”

If you are looking to celebrate our planet’s amazing creatures this Earth Day, tune into the stunning Secrets of the Whales on Disney+.
