Terry Bollea is best known as wrestling superstar Hulk Hogan.
He became one of the most recognizable wrestlers of all time in the ‘80s and even had a four season reality show following his family that aired on VH1 from 2005-2007; ‘Hogan Knows Best’.
Now, the story of the man behind the unmistakable bandana & mustache is being turned into a feature film.
Director Todd Philips (‘The Hangover’) and writer Scott Silver (‘8 Mile’) will be teaming up to bring the project to life - the two are also behind the upcoming ‘Joker’ film, which stars Joaquin Phoenix.
Producer Michael Sugar (‘Spotlight’) is also joining in and Chris Hemsworth, AKA Thor, will be playing the role of Hogan.
While little information known about the film, it’s expected to be a Netflix release and focus on the early years of Hogan’s wrestling career. This timeline will likely include other well-known wrestlers like Andre The Giant and The Iron Sheik (who has already requested to play himself in the film - he is now 76).
Stay tuned for more information.
