Helen McCrory, best known by fans as Narcissa Malfoy in the Harry Potter series and Polly Gray in Peaky Blinders, has passed away at the age of 52 due to cancer.

Her husband, actor Damian Lewis (Billions, Homeland) recently said, “I’m heartbroken to announce that after a heroic battle with cancer, the beautiful and mighty woman that is Helen McCrory has died peacefully at home, surrounded by a wave of love from friends and family. She died as she lived. Fearlessly. God we love her and know how lucky we are to have had her in our lives. She blazed so brightly. Go now, Little One, into the air, and thank you.”

McCrory was also known for her roles in films like Skyfall, Hugo, The Queen, and The Special Relationship. She has also been a huge support to families during the coronavirus pandemic and raised £1million for Feed NHS with her husband since the beginning of the pandemic.

Our hearts go out to McCrory’s family and friends during this difficult time. She will be greatly missed.
