See ‘Rocketman’ Two Weeks Early
‘Rocketman’ - the musical fantasy film starring Taron Egerton based around the life and career of music legend Elton John - is set to hit the big screen on May 31 but if you’re stoked for the film, you may just be able to catch it a few weeks early.
Today, Fandango announced they will be holding early screenings of it at over 400 theaters across the United States on May 18.
These screenings are open to Fandango VIP members (which is FREE to join) as part of their Early Access Screening program and will be taking place at a variety of theaters including AMC, Arclight, Cinemark, Regal, Harkins Theaters, National Amusements and more.
With 2017’s box-office hit ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’, the bar has been set high for music biopics. ‘Rhapsody’ brought in over $900 million and won numerous awards including Oscars for Best Actor, Best Film Editing, Best Sound Editing and Best Sound Mixing.
Interestingly enough, ‘Rocketman’ director Dexter Fletcher was initially supposed to direct ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ and actually did for the final few weeks of the film’s production after the firing of Bryan Singer.
