The script for the upcoming Marvel series She-Hulk was completed several months ago, and filming was originally scheduled to begin on July 6, 2020, before being postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. Now, sources at The Direct say that production for She-Hulk is set to begin in February 2021 and film in Atlanta, GA.

While the lead character, Jennifer Walters/She-Hulk, has yet to be cast, Marvel insider Daniel Ritchman said that the Disney-owned property is looking for “an Alison-Brie” type to play the role of the titular lawyer.

It was also just announced that Kat Coiro (Dead to Me, Shameless, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Brooklyn Nine-Nine) will direct the pilot and several other episodes of the new series.

She-Hulk beginning production in early 2021 indicates that the team behind Phase 4 of the Marvel TV-series is starting to ramp up after the pandemic paused all productions this past spring. New series like The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and WandaVision are expected to complete filming by early 2021, which will allow Marvel to focus on additional upcoming series, including She-Hulk, Ms. Marvel, Hawkeye, and Loki.

The next installment of the Marvel movie franchise, Black Widow, is set to premiere on November 6. However, as we all know by now, that date is subject to change.
