Calling all gamers and thrilling series seekers! Netflix and Ubisoft recently announced they are teaming up to create an anime series of the popular video game “Splinter Cell”.

Derek Kolstad, writer of the John Wick franchise, will be writing and serving as executive producer on the new series. According to Variety’s sources, the Splinter Cell anime is already scheduled for two-seasons, with a total of 16 episodes confirmed so far.

While Netflix, Ubisoft, and Kolstand have not yet commented on the plot of the series, we bet it will be action-packed, given the nature of the game. For those of you who have never played “Splinter Cell”, it follows a former U.S. Navy SEAL named Sam Fisher after he was recruited to work for the secret Third Echelon division in the NSA. Fisher must go on black ops missions while employing stealth and various military tactics—such an adrenaline rush!

We will keep you posted on any new Splinter Cell series updates.

Are you excited to see Sam Fisher be a total badass in the new Netflix series? What video games do you think Netflix should make into a TV show next? Let us know in the comments!
