Yesterday, Cineworld announced their theaters will be reopening in early July worldwide. Today, Cinemark theaters dropped this awesome video—it’s like a virtual tour of what you can expect when you make your return to the theater this summer.
Check it out:
While Cinemark CEO Mark Zoradi has implemented much of the same safety procedures as other movie major theater chains, it was definitely reassuring to see a visual representation of those practices in action.
At Cinemark Theaters you can expect the Cinemark Standard, which includes:
- High traffic areas will be sanitized every 30 minutes.
-Auditoriums will be extensively disinfected each morning
-Used seating in auditoriums will be disinfected after every showing
-Hand sanitizers and seat wipes will be readily available
-Encouraging physical distancing of at least 6 feet at all times
-Reducing capacity in auditoriums to maximize social distancing
-Staggering showtimes to prevent crowding in bathrooms and common areas
-Theater workers will go through safety training and will have wellness checks before every shift
-Theater workers will be provided with masks and gloves
-Creating a Chief Clean & Safety Officer position in every theater
While we were happy to see the cleaning practices in action, what also caught our attention was the DISCOUNT pricing. Cinemark theaters will now sell tickets for $5 for adults and $3 for kids. Plus, Cinemark theaters will also offer discounted concessions. So, say goodbye to spending your life savings on popcorn and a soda🍿🥤
